SOURCE: grinding noise front end when

Do you have aftermarket rims? If the rims rub against an outer tie rod, it will destroy tires. Any kind of suspension modification can cause this also.

SOURCE: Brakes are making loud grinding noise when slowing down to stop or on an incline

Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..

SOUNDS LIKE A POWER STEERING PUMP NOISE, IF THAT IS NOT IT THEN IT IS THE FRONT PRESSURE PUMP IN THE TRANSMISSION.

SOURCE: Noise in front end 2002 zr2 blazer

Two things maybe your problem:1 .Front axle actuator to engage 4wd is not releasing. 2. Front axle u-joint needs replacing. Lift car on jacks with front end off ground. Then spin tires by hand as fast as you can and see if you hear the noise and where it is coming from ( spin in both directions).

N16 manual makes a whiring noise when slowing down from 60kph in 4th, stops when put into nuetral

sounds like a bearing is on the way out in the gearbox, nothing really to worry about yet, if it is still going into gear, and not making a grinding noise.

mine makes a whirring noise when accelerating through 1-3rd gears.

It's when there is grinding and growling in the gear box that you need to worry.

one of your brake calipers is stuck and the grinding noise is from the revits on the brake pad worn down . if this is it you need to change the calipers pads and rotors and wheel bearings

Car making a grinding when slowing down

Hello and welcome to FixYa!
As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you check or replace the brake pads. If they are worn out, it tends to have metal to metal contact which can cause grinding sound.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Service engine soon indicator on and a buzzing/whining noise.

i recommend that you take it into auto-zone or a car shop asap. from what you have described the ticking as, it sounds like a bottom knock. as for the whine i don't know.
