Why does my mercedes c180 '98' only blow air through air vents when i drive the fan does not work? How do I locate problem?

Check the blower circuit breaker, the blower control fuse, the blower relay, and the blower itself. If the blower does not work on any speed, you will likely find that the control fuse has blown.

How can i tell if my blower is bad or the fan switch

start with the fuses first, replace if bad, should be at least a 20 amp fuse(or circuit breaker)then look at the blower under the dash and check /inspect it.most blowers have a hot wire and a ground wire connected to them look at both check for power either with a light or a meter to read battery voltage and check the ground for good connection..if in doubt pull the blower out and test separately with a battery charger..theres also a coil type speed control (resistor wire) thats usually mounted in the system that can burn out..see if it is ok also..it controls the speed of the blower motor..then concentrate on the switch..these dont normally burn out unless the motor jams up by debris getting into the ducts by way of the defroster vents..good luck..

When i turn on the ac no air blows throw

Go to the fuse block and check 15A fuse D which feeds power to the blower motor. Then check 10A fuse K which feeds power to the blower relay and the fan (blower) speed select relays. If the fuses check OK, the blower relay, the fan switch or the speed control relays may be defective. also, the fan speed resistor may be defective

Location for blower motor/heater/fan fuse?

Before you rip, check the 30A HEATER CIRCUIT BREAKER in the instrument panel fuse panel. The input is hot with the engine running. CB output connects directly to the heater blower motor. A cluster of heater blower motor resistors determines blower speed as selected by the blower switch in the heater control assembly. The switch setting is sent to the powertrain control module (PCM) which acts to turn the blower motor on at the selected speed.

My 1991 isuzu trooper heater blower fan is not working, nor when i turn it to the airconditioner the compressor does not engage. i checked all the fuses except the ac relay fuse block, what could the...

if the lower fan speeds dont work but the fastest speed does the heater fan resistor block needs replacing. If the highest fan speed doesnt work leave it on there and check for power at heater blower fan, if power is on one wire and the other is an earth the blower motor fan needs replacing. Use a normal globe test light to check this. If no power on any wires to fan go back and check all fuses in car and under bonnet with same test light. If fuses are ok possible open circuit wire to fan.

My 2004 grand marque's blower motor stoped working is it the blower motor relay or the resister?

If 1, 2 & 3rd speed not working, it is resistor (assuming you don't have EATC). High speed will work if fuse is ok and resistor is burned.
EATC = Electronci Auto Tem,p Control (Digital)

Ok, may sound like a dumb question, but how do you know if its a blower motor resistor problem or just the blower/motor. Ive been reading solutions for problem on the A/C blower still blowing air but speeds...

The blower motor resistor is usually only switched into the circuit for the lower speeds and for the fastest speed the resistor is bypassed so I guess the motor needs to be replaced if it does not work in any position. However, sometimes the blower motor is not protected by a fuse but by an automatically resetting sealed circuit breaker usually located not far from the motor. The circuit breakers dont fail very often, If the fan works for a few seconds and then stops and then does the same thing several minutes later then the fan motor definitely needs replacing.

MY HVAC fan stopped blowing. Checked all the

Check the blower motor speed control resistor pack is ok.
(The resistor pack is usually located in the blower fan ducting in the air flow).
Check condition of electrical connection terminals on the blower motor circuit - these terminals pass considerable current and over time may fatigue overheat and loosen.
Check operation/replace any blower motor control relay,
Check the blower motor will run if +12v directly applied to the blower motor.
Check operation of the blower motor speed control switch is ok.
