No spark to spark plugs

Make sure you have a good ground when you check your plugs. Without it, you will never get power to flow through it. If they are grounded, then trace it backwards to either a coil pack(s) or to the plug wires. (depending on the year and type) Then from there, follow it back to the disributor cap, rotor, and even the distributor itself. Finding out where you're losing spark will go a long way towards repairing it.

No spark fromcoil

coil is on top of the disributor and gets a signal from the chip under the rotor inside the cap..remove the cap and look at the rotor (see if the center metal tab is burnt out, and look under the coil for the carbon tip there, if its gone that needs replaced) these H.E.I units will jump the fire from the coil straight through to the rotor shaft and to the groung of the block.. hence no fire to plugs..replace the chip, under the rotor, the rotor and get a new cap, putting the coil fromthe old one into the top of the new one, making sure the carbon tip is under the coil before install..be careful to relocat each plug wire one at a time so timing order is good this will take around a good hour to do if you are careful and dont get in a rush..good luck and repost if an issue should come back up..

Rough idle, dies when running slow

Not much info here, but I would do a tune-up. Change spark plugs, oil and filter, air filter. Disributor rotor and check distributor cap for cleanliness. Make sure spark plug wires are not arcing.

How to set the timing on a 1982 olds 98

Hi: 1st thing to do is pull #1 Spark Plug AND before you Crank The Engine PULL COIL WIRE so your car does'nt Start During Your ommpression Test.Once you have commpression coming out #1 Spark Hole. Then follow the #1 Spark Plug Wire up to the Distributor Cap-Now Mark that #1 Wire with a Marker ,Sting any Way you'll know where it is on your Distributor. Now PULL Distributor Cap and see where the Rotor Is,It should be Pointing toward that #1 Spark Plug Wire. Could be a Little Past.. If all This Lines up and Tested Out right,Then ALL you Need to Do is Clean and Mark Your Timing to What you Car is in Time, Could be TDC (TOP DEAD CENTER) or 4-8 Degrees BTDC (Before Top Dead Center. And then put coil wire in and attach your timing light to #1 Wire And Loosen the Distributor Hold Down Bracket Under Distributor.Where You Still have a Little Resistance to Move it Clock or Counter Clock Wise. Start the vehice and Slowly Move the Whole Disributor Until You Get The Timing Light At the Timing Mark you Made. Thats It. Hope this Helps You Out. From The WYOCWBOY

I have no spark at plugs coil has good spark

If you have spark at the coil then you have a good coil. You can't measure Ohm at a spark plug since it is alway open at the gap. But you can OHM measure a spark plug wire at both end. If you have nothing mean your wire is bad. You can swap one more wire to confirm a bad wire. If your wire is not bad then I recommend to replace both rotor and distributor cap. Good luck in locating the problem.

I have an 1989 isuzu trooper it stall as i am driving it do not matter if i am driving in the middle of the street or at a stop it will stop, at first it would start right back up and now it will not star,...

Check for spark at the spark-plugs the next time it dies on you--you will need an assistance with you.
If you have no spark than you may have a bad magnetic pick-up in the disributor--I am assuming that it has a disributor.
Or if that 's good than check for fuel pressure--may have a bad fuel pump or relay.

Rewired ford taurus spark plugs and when turns on it jumps what could i have done wrong?

If you replaced the distributor cap then there is a high possibility that you put the wires in the wrong firing order on cap.

If all you did was replaced the plugs, then I would pull each one out and recheck the Gap sizes with a feeler gauge. Also check to see if the spark/coil plug wires are touching metal or each other, which can cause the spark to arc out of the wire and never get to the spark plug. If I suspect an arc and do not see a physical problem, I wait until nighttime and look under the hood while engine is running...they stick out like a sore thumb. Also make sure that you did not put the wrong plugwire to the wrong spark plug.

When you change your plugs, you should also replace wires, cap and rotor.
