If your trying to charge your ac and you have a charging kit the fittings on the charging kit are designed to only fit on the low side quick connect. If that isn't what your trying to do i'd have to go look to describe better.

Where do I add freon on a 2006 Ford Mustang GT?

If your system is blowing warm I would recommend having the system evacuated and check for leaks. Just adding Freon will not give you ice cold A/C. There are two valves, low side and high side. Usually the plastic caps are blue for low side, red cap for high side. If you use a commercial A/C machine to service the vehicle, both valves are connected to check pressures in the system and also to fill the system with the correct amount of Freon. The low side (blue) is located at the firewall near the dryer and the high side (red) is usually on the passenger side near the radiator.

Switch interruptor

If we are talking about a pressure switch, it usually is the low pressure cut-off switch. Before messing with this switch, verify what your Freon pressure is.
If the pressure is low, the low pressure switch may be fine and you need to add Freon and find out why the Freon escaped.
If you have high pressure, there is a second switch which cuts power to the compressor. Too much Freon will activate this switch.
Tip: You have both a high and low pressure switch. The proper amount of Freon will center the pressure and keep the compressor running more consistently.
Either pressure switch unscrews from the fitting and with a minimum of pressure can be removed from the lines and replaced. The housing should have shapes for wrenches.

Ford Ranger a/c blowing hot air

You have the right port if it fits the RECHARGE hose. If it's reading 130 psi, it might be way overcharged.
Did you follow directions and did the AC compressor clutch kick in? At that pressure,on the low side, the compressor shouldn't even engage.
To discharge the system if overcharged, you need for a shop to do it. don-ohio (:^)

I need to no how to add freon to my 1998 ford explorer and what type of freon does it take

Adding freon to a car requires connecting the low-side service valve first, followed by the high side, recovering the existing freon, evacuating the system of air and recharging the system with new freon.
You can use R-134a refrigerant for 1998 Ford Explorer. You can get all parts necessary for Ford Explorer at one place at http://www.carpartswarehouse.com/carparts/Ford/A-C_Condenser.html

Where do you put the freon

freon is added to the low pressure side. The adaptor will only fit this connection, the high pressure connection is a larger connector. You shouldn't just add freon without checking the high pressure side - you can still overpressurize the system, and this will cause your compressor to kick-off on high pressure.

I want to add refrigerant to my 2005 Buick Century... 6 cylinder. How many cans; it says to charge using the low side. How do you determine the low side

It depends on the size of the cans!

The low side is the "thick" pipe that comes straight out of the inside radiator (evaporator) to the compressor, the high side is the thin pipe, running from the compressor to the outside radiator (condensor), then the liquid receiver (the part that looks like a soda can) Add a can of freon while the car is running with a/c on, check the sight glass on the liquid receiver the whole time. If there is enough freon in the system the sight glass should look almost full. If it's not enough, add another can.

Where do i put freon in on a 2005 focus

Your focus should not take freon. Freon is used in older cars from 1995 on back. Your focus should take R134 and the plug for your AC should be located under the passenger side wheel well (yes ford makes things so convenient). Just unscrew the little plastic crews in you wheel well and attach the gauge and can of R134 (should take a little more than 2 large cans).
