Simnilar thing happened on our 2003 Sante Fe. A bolt came off the lifter that holds the glass in place. Take the door panel off (about 1/2 dozen screws - some of them under a little plastic tab for looks - just pry off the little button in the center to expose the screw) and you can probablyn see the problem or at least place the window back on the track. Once you take the panel off you will probably need to unplug some of the electrical (door lock and window conrtrols) but they will just plug back in easily when you are done.

Ok...I have a 2000 chevy s10 with power windows. The driver side window will go down halfway and then stop. The same as going up. The switch is good, I replaced it. What would cause this?

My Buick Le saber did this and what my problem was the window track was corroded and full of dirt causing the window to bind in the track. My mechanic took it apart and put a new track in and it works now. It does not come cheap to have a mechanic do it.

Drivers side power window off track

Roll it down halfway and in with your hands put it back in the place Center of the rubber that wraps the window you should feel it pop or click, test rolling the window up and down if it didn't work try a few more times there's two sides that should slide into place if it doesn't work a Clip broke off the slider you need to disassemble the door find it and replace it

You will need to replace the regulators, they are an incredibly cheap design

Right rear window will not go up or down from either the door button or the drivers door button and it is stuck halfway down ...

you have to take apart the side panel to see inside and you will find out that some of the parts got off the track of the window. If you do not know how to do this have someone who does.

Take the door panel off and see if the window came off track. If it did then put it back on its track. If it did not come off track, you might have a bad motor.

My drivers side window on my 1994 ford Taurus is stuck in the down position. how do i get it to go up and down again? the window motor is working ok. just that the window will not move

If the motor is working but the glass is not moving something must have broke inside the door. See if you can sneak a piece of duct tape down along side the glass, get it down as far as possible. Use a butter knife or something to make the tape stick to the glass, now try pulling the glass up with the tape. You may want run the window motor at the same time maybe it will catch. If you get the window up, tape it with duct tape so you can get it to a shop to get it fixed. Good luck.

How do i fix my 1996 honda accord driver side window? When i roll down the window it falls off the track! they are manual, not power. How do I fix?

If you take the door panel off which there is only 2 to 4 screws holding in on and some clips in the back. pull the window to the top of the door and tape in place pull the track up and line track up with the window fully up and make sure to tighten track bolts on both the window and door bolts. hope that helps

My window cam off tract and wont stay up.put the glass up and it comes right back down

There is a lose bolt inside the door. The windows is able to have enouigh play to slide to the side or the center of the track....ensure all bolts are tight via taking the side of the door off and peeling the weather tape back

Rear window slipping down about 1 inch, but still on the track.

The Regulator will fix the problem. The tracks might also need a little adjustment.(loosen bolts move track then retighten) Try holding the window while you are rasing it you might be able to guide it up so that it will close a bit more.

Driver's side window stuck open.

unfortuanately the window has come off the track... happens for various reasons... on my windstar the side rail spot weld broke so the rail/track came off... i had to take the bracket out ... drill out the spot weld and put it back together with a rivet ... put the window back and it's been good since.... basically you will need to take the door panel off to see why it came off the track.
