Maybe a junk yard would have the part that you need to repair your vehicle.

Car; 97 Nissan 200sx manual transmission 1.6l 4 cylinder with no mods.. What happen; drover into puddle and car dies in puddle.. Pushed out of puddle then wouldn't start like no power dried off battery...

How deep was the puddle...? I'm almost thinking water got into distributor cap,or car's computer, perhaps Alternator,or some electrical part...just a guess, mind you.

Check engine light turned on. autozone run diagnostic check come up with engine 4 misfire. engine start ok but for a while rpm drops and engine stop. i have changed fuel filter and check fuel injectors...

Is there a coil per cylinder? That's sounds like a faulty coil, that can cause a misfire in a cylinder. It's relatively easy to test. Start your engine and when the car rpm's drop, remove the coil socket from cylinder number one and if the car hesitates more that means that cylinder is working good, then reconnect and continue with cylinder number two, remove the coil socket and look very careful for hesitation and reconnect and so long until you check all off the cylinders. If you disconnect a coil of any cylinder and the engine remains the same, doesn't hesitate more, then that cylinder isn't working, so change that coil. Begin with cylinder number 4 if you want to cause of the scanner reference.

I have a 2.4 4 cylinder in my 97 nissan 4x4 truck. the motor has just been rebuilt from top to bottom. the motor was put in and everything completely installed yesterday. when i cranked it up i noticed...

Take it back to the folks that allegedly "rebuilt" it and have them do the job right. If you paid via credit card do not pay until it is fixed properly.

No power will not pass 3000 rpm

Possible causes:
1. Incorrect Ignition timing
2. Problem with fuel injection system
3. Emission control system not functioning properly
4. Low or uneven cylinder compression pressure
5.Obstructed exhaust system.
6. Fuel filter clogged and/or impurities in the fuel system
7. faulty or incorrectly gapped spark plugs

Missing at low rpm,s and trying to flood # 3 & 4 clyinders

I have fix this problem before it was my boss truck the problem was with the intake leak it was sucking air trow the intake try get a piece or hose and get close to the intake and see if your heard some sucking noise and also I did replaced the mass air flow sensor was bad and is on top of the electronic carburator injectors but when the air flow sensor is bad your truck don't seems to be stable at low rpm's and they do the same thing with an intake air leak so look for those 2 problems you may have only 1 of this cyntom but 1 is enough
