SOURCE: Nissan D22 Fault

You'll think I'm crazy but the gas cap may need replacing. They are vented. When they get stopped up, it throws a light and loses fuel pressure,
New gas cap...about $8.00.

Is it normal for the revs to stay up when changing gear in a 2002 4x4 3.0L turbo diesel navara?

do they revs drop off when taking pressure off accelerator pedal when out of gear? if only staying high during gear change it would suggest a worn clutch friction/pressure plate so the engine isn't slowing down when clutch is depressed .I'd also have the OBD codes read to see if there is a sensor/switch at fault , but sounds like the clutch to me

Check the fuel pressure under load and also have the exhaust system checked for excessive back pressure.

My red 202 has a flat spot when I have 1/4 throttle on, now she died completely on me seems to be a fuel issue, yet the wiring I her is absolutely terrible, could this be a cause of my issues aswell?

Flat spots come from fuel /air ratio problems and the Stromberg carby on the 2002 has a plunger accelerator pump that has a setting so that a steady stream of fuel is injected into the throat of the carby when accelerating. Check that the plunger is working all the way down and that the 2 ball valves in the pump are working and not held open with rubbish. Look down the throat and press down on the accelerator lever and you should see a steady squirt for the full throttle movement

L own a 2007 nissan navara 2,5di when i reach speed of 120km/h and above the vehicle goes into limp mode ie stops accelerating. I have to leave the accelerator and press again then it goes. Does that...

Have the fault codes read and look for a purge solenoid/valve ---low fuel pressure at manifold tank cap etc and any fault that restricts the flow of fuel . Also check the cat converter for failure causing blockage in the exhaust.

My nissan 1400 has a flat spot when accelerate. What would be the problem

If by flat spot you mean "hesitation" , you need to check the status of fuel filter, air filter and fuel pump. Inspect your spark plugs also as a precaution to eliminate them as the culprit.

Do you have any fault codes in the computer control modules memory? What is the fuel pressure doing when this happens? Have the fuel filter(s) ever been replaced? Are the air intake hose clamps tight?
