If you drove through water and the water got into the intake then the engine would be locked up... i had this happen to an 04 dodge ram... we had to replace the engine.

Busted radiator hose, engine knock

Its possible you hydro-locked a cylinder with coolant which would have bent a connecting rod. When a cylinder gets liquid in it, the liquid will not compress so something has to give.
The head gasket could be leaking to cause the leak into the cylinder.
Hydro lock could also bend a valve.

2001 grand am was driving in water. now overheates and wont start

If ur car is a v6 pull the dip stick for the oil if it looks like chocolate milk that's a lower intake gasket and when coolant gets in with the oil its no longer a lubericant if u drive to long with it that way your motor will go into hydro lock were the motor locks up but does not mean that u also do not have a head gasket problem

My dontn atart, because get in water inside motor, and maybe, the computernits broken too,or maybe the plugs its borne.

If you got water inside your motor, it sounds like you may have hydro-locked, meaning water has filled one or more of your cylinders, not allowing the engine to turn over because the pistons can't compress water. Pull out all your spark plugs and turn the key as if you were going to start the car. If you see a bunch of water shoot out of the spark plug ports, then it was hydro-locked. Put the spark plugs back in and try to start the car. If the car starts, listen for clicking, ticking or banging from the engine. If you do hear a lot of noise turn it off immediately. Unfortunately, hydro-locking your engine can potentially cause a lot of damage to your engine. You could have bent a piston rod or a valve. If that's the case, you should take it into a shop to have it checked out.

Good Luck!

How do you know the engine hydrolocked? Did your mechanic tell you?
Hydrolocking occurs when the engine gets filled with a liquid such as oil or water, and because it's not compressible the way air is, it jams up the engine and prevents it from turning. It might bend parts and cause damage if you're not lucky. Generally the spark plugs should be removed and the engine turned to expel the liquid and allow it to turn again. Then you'll have to determine the extent of the damage.
If you changed the thermostat yourself, and in the process, stuck a garden hose down the air intake instead of filling the radiator, you could have filled it with enough water to hydrolock it. Otherwise, it's pretty unusual that a thermostat replacement could cause hydrolocking.

Car just check engine light, no oil light, no warning at all it just stopped. i heard a squealing noise, but i didnt hear any lifter tapping or piston slap or any type of knocking, its buggin...

If the motor is hydro locked then it has a coolant leak in the cylinder head or intake. The gm 3.1 and 3.4 are very well known for issue. If the batt is fully charged and the engine will not turn over that probably what it is. It can be a very costly repair so first check the oil if it looks like a milk shake or has white streaks in the oil then sorry but motor done and not worth fixing it.

How do you tell if the moter is locked up in jeep grand cherokee it has a 5.2

Remove the ground cable from the battery, remove all spark plugs, try to turn over the engine by hand or with the starter, should turn over really easy if not the timing belt is may be broken.
