Question about 2000 Isuzu Rodeo
If the engine is turning over, youre either not getting fuel or not getting spark,my dad's mistubishi had the same symptoms as yours,i found that his distributer is bad but there can still be other bad components, cam and or crank sensor, bad ECM, or no compression due to a bad head

Tow it to a mechanic, from the sound of it it's something wrong with the inside of your engine, which will be a ***** to fix. It's not the battery if it's turning over, You could be out of gas, as dumb as that sounds, some people don't check it. But I guess you would have known after 4 months of this. So right now I'm blathering about an obvious answer while you're reading this thinking to yourself "Who is this idiot and why does he know what I'm thinking?" Now, if you're still reading, I just want you to know that I also have an Isuzu Rodeo and that's what I would do. Get a mechanic to hook up a machine to it and check the entire engine out, then from there struggle to not get screwed over by any mechanic that thinks it's a good idea to over charge.
Hope it helps. . .
