I HAVE A 98 SAAB 900 THAT IS BLOWING HOT AIR OUT OF THE A/C VENTS. I'VE REPLACED THE COMPRESSOR,DRIER,CONDENSOR,EXPANSION VALVE, AND FLUSHED THE EVAPORATOR CORE. IVE TRIED RECHARGING THE SYSTEM SEVERAL TIMES AND THE PRESSURES KEEP PEGGING OUT AND BLOWING THE POP-OFF VALVE ON THE COMPRESSOR.

First make sure button on the heat control is not broken, when you turn from hot to cold that button breaks inside, pull knob off and see if its cracked,it may feel like its working but lots of time its not closing the blend door all the way,try the blower kob to turn to cold or pliers, i would start there first ive seen this alot on saabs,

OK, most cars have heater cores that get hot but the blender door directs air away from this core in the a/c mode when you want cool air from the evaporator.

I'm not sure if there is a control valve which stops the water from going through the heater valve.

I think the part is called a 'heater blend door actuator' that you are after.

Front AC cold but Rear AC very hot

Not likely, but Is Hot water flowing to heater coil in back? How hot is "very hot" Is it a refrigerant line? If a refrigirant line, Very Hot means it is hot gas from the compressor that "should be going to the condenser coil usually in front of the radiator. It's almost impossible for that Hot refrigerant gas to go to the cooling coil in the back unless you had some repairs done and they weren't certified. My guess is the radiator hot water is not being controlled properly, due to bad valve or control system components.

The low pressure side´s service connection is located on the low pressure pipe behind the right headlamp between the A/C compressor and the evaporator.

Is it leaking inside the car? If so then it is more than likely the heater core is leaking antifreeze. You will need to replace the heater core under the dash.

SAAB 9-5 LINEAR TID DIESEL SALOON 3.0 DIESEL THE FOLLOWING DEFECT: THE CAR STARTS, RUNS AND DRIVES SWEETLY,THE TEMPERATURE GAUGE NEVER GOES ABOVE THE HALFWAY MARK AND THE HEATER BLOWS CONSTANT HOT AIR....

I had the same problem on my 9-5 vector 3.0 TiD with the top up coolant warning. Nearly became bankrupt trying to diagnose the problem and trips to Saab. Header tank, sensors, pressure tested etc. The Saab squaddies couldn't figure it out until it got worse. It's a head gasket failure despite passing pressure tests initially...sounds like it's still early days on yours. Had to replace the engine for near £5000.but under warranty :-) Reckon 2.5-3k at a good specialists.

2000 saab 95 air con - relay not receiving message to start compressor.

a/c systems have what is called a low pressure switch, If there isnt enough pressure(freon) in it the compressor wont kick on. I would read the pressures and go from there. 99% of the time when a compressor wont turn on i find that it is low on freon.

At what pressure do i put the ac coolant at when charging

the pressure needed will change with outside air temp. but if you charge the low side to 35-40psi (high side 225-275psi if the a\c system is in good shape) you wont have any problems.
p.s. your low side port is on the accumulator\dryer under the pass. side fender. if you remove the headlight its easier to get to.

Cold air with low fan but warm air with high fan

If there was a blockage, the low pressure pipe would freeze up after awhile.Check that there is sufficient gas in the system and there are no leaks. The high pressure should be between 8-13 bar and low pressure shouldbe between 1.8-3 bar.

A/C blowing hot air. Compressor activates and system has pressure.

Could be the expansion valve. That's what allows the temperature to actually drop in the system - the contents of the AC system are under pressure, and are at a certain temperature. When the freon goes through the expansion valve, the pressure drops suddenly and dramatically, which "flash chills" the freon, allowing the air to blow cold. If it fails, you may get lukewarm air from the AC despite everything else working. Also though, check to see whether the AC evaporator fan (underhood) is working - on some cars, if it doesn't turn on, the compressor won't be run enough to cool the air.
