check the transmission fluid level first and also when was last time you had a tranny service new fluid and filter because the screen could be plugged and not allowing the fluid to get to the torque converter also have the catalytic converter checked out

it could be the coil pack or even your immobiliser. try disconnecting your immobiliser. they seem to have bad-parts/dry-joints in them after a few years.

i had the same problem with my truck, eventually it wouldnt start, im not sure thought cuz you got a veedub check you ignition control module
