Question about 1995 Nissan Pathfinder
If the battery light does not come on that doesn't mean the alternator is good.
If when you first turn the ignition key on and the car is not running, the battery light should go on to test the alternator. This is wired directly to the alternator circuitry.
When you start the car and it is running, this light should go out in a few seconds.
This indicates that it is charging the battery or supplying enough voltage to the car's system to keep it running.
If the battery light never goes on, the alternator is bad.
