There is no adjustment for these door hinges. With the door open wiggle the door up and down and inspect the door hinges while doing so. I suspect that you will find the upper hinge is bad. These can be had at most junk yards or through a dealer. The dealer depends on if they still support that truck anymore.

Is the wheel base the same on a 2007 extended cab colorado the same as the four door model.

The part numbers for the frames are different, which could be just where different bolts mount. the parking brake cables for extended cab and 4 door are the same which leads me to believe that the wheel bases are the same. Your best bet would be to contact a salvage yard in your area and check with them.

How do I get my drivers door open...I have tried the key and electric locks but drivers door will not open

It appears to me that the door hinge bushings have worn out , do not force the inner or outer door handles. Lower the window and use the top part of the window frame to left up on the door to release the weight on the door latch and try to open it. If this allows the door to open your hinge bushing are worn out and allowing the door to sag putting it's weight on the door latch. This is common on drivers doors because of being the most used.

Cannot open the rear doors on a 2001 ram 1500 quad cab. The door will move just not open.

Are the doors locked, but not quite latched? If they're definitely not locked, then you may have to peel the inside door panels out to get to the strike mechanisms.

I want to see how much front spring sag on a 1994 Chevy C-1500 Std. Cab. 4.3 engine I can't find factory sepcs.

The short wheelbase C1500 is 194.1 inches long, 76.4 inches wide (plus one-half inch for Sportsides/Widesides) and 70.4 inches tall. The long wheelbase adds 18.8 inches of length for a total of 212.9. The K1500 measures the same but rides a little higher at 73.8 inches, or 74.3 inches for the heavy-duty diesel. The C2500 has a height of 73 inches, while the K2500's height is 74.3 inches and the K3500 is 76 inches tall. Length and width figures for the 2500 and 3500 regular cabs are similar to the 1500 series at 212.9 inches and 76.4 inches, respectively. The extended cab with standard box measures 236.9 inches long. The K3500 extended cab with long box measures 255.7 inches.

Toyota door lock

Hi John, If the latching mechanism is in the locked position, does it open when either of the handles are pulled? If it is not opening you may need clean and service the linkages and the latching mechanism or replace the latch. The locking mechanism inside the latch is is an off center sort of horse shoe shape. If it is closed you will see a bar which will be in an almost vertical position, and it should release when either of the door handles is operated. If it is failing to lock, (which I am suspecting), the latch will be at an angle of about fifty degrees. If that is the case, using a Philips (star screw driver) push the latch back to find out if it is latching. If it does, use either of the handles to release it again. If it fails to hold in the closed position, the linkages from the release handles may be fouled, damaged or disconnected. If everything is correct in those areas, the latch may need replacement. Check that first, let me know how you get on and if we need to go further and carry out a replacement, which will mean removing the door panel, and the mechanism let me know so we can go through it together. Regards John

The central locking makes a sound like it wants to lock when the button is pressed, but nothing happens. Everything that normally happens when the button is pressed happens except for the 2 front doors...

You will probably need to remove the door panels and spray the lock mechanisms heavily with wd40 or similar. They are common to seize up and do this, also the little spring on the mechanism latch lever rusts and breaks, causing the door not to open at all, only by actuating with some difficulty the lever with a flat bar down past the window.I have seen some of the remote lock actuators seize on doors other than drivers,so that the doors wont lock.lube in behind the rubber bellows that waterproofs the actuator rod. while inside doors.
Hope this helps you or get back to me with your findings.

The drivers door hinge pins are loose allow the

Some local auto parts have replacement door/hinge pin-kits for Ford products. (If not order from your local Ford dealer) The pins may need heated with a torch and driven out with a long spline pin punch. You might want to get a mechanic to do this for you.
