The best idea is to scan the Engine Control Module (ECM) memory for stocked faults (Diagnostic Trouble Codes - DTC), using a diagnostic equipment connected to the data link connector of the car. Then you will be full informed about damaged components (e.g. ignition coils, injectors, various engine sensors, oxygen sensors, ...). Then the ECM memory can be accessed and erased by errors (ECM reset), after bad pieces replacement.
