2002 is same as my 2000 spyder. Port is located under the drivers side dash, right above the dead pedal and clutch pedal. White plug trapezoid shape like the connection plug you have from your scanner. Turn your ignition to on then run scanner.

To connect the obd2 scanner to your car you plug the end of the included cable with the 16-pin connector to the vehicle 16-pin port, and then connect the other end of the cable to the OBD ii reader. It's that simple.

What code scanner is needed for a 1994 olds cutlass supreme 3.1?

1994-1995 was a transition year for car makers with the OBD system.
You can do an internet search for each style plug and see which one you have. The scanner will not connect to the wrong plug.
The OBD2 style is tapered on each side. The plug is under the steering column.

98 hyundai sonata obd II port has no power or comunication with my scaner

If you connect a scanner to the OBD2 port and the vehicle then runs fine? Then you have a problem with a ground. Top of the DLC is pin 4 and 5 that is the ECM body ground. pin 16 is battery volts 12vlts.

Hi,

If your GM vehicle has the earlier 12-pin OBD-I connector, then this is the adaptor cable you require to connect an OBD-II scanner your vehicle:

Trying to read check engine light on my 95 sunfire it has a obd2 plug but the obd2 tester wont read my codes how can i test this with out going to dealer?

Most consumer available scanners read OBDII on 96 or newer vehicles. If your car does in fact have a OBDII plug then all you need is the software in your scanner to be able to read OBDI codes...a 95 is running OBDI. Advance Auto or Autozone might have a OBDI compliant scanner for free...just tell them you have the OBDII port so they don't take up all your time digging for the adapter!
