Question about 1992 Lexus Ls 400
Thats kinda difficult to guess due to the engine safety secury cuts it and the relay also will cut it, if you have no security light on at all then i will start by checking the relay located in the fuse block, swap it with some other one to test it.

SOURCE: 1991 Jeep Fuel Control Issue
Who ever thought of putting an electric fuel pump inside a tank of gas........
Check your other gauges for accuracy. They do that when a ground is loose.
Check the wiring from the fuel tank along the longitudinal frame for frays and shorts. Plugs are secured.
Under the hood, passenger side, check the fuel pump relay. Switch it with one of the others to test it.
Bring the vehicle to an auto parts store. Ask them to break out he code reader. Check for diag codes

the code 1-2 is just telling you that you're in diagnostic mode (means nothing) fuel pump could be going out or fuel filter

I would say the fuel pump is worn out or filter screen that is attached to fuel pump is clogged..
have you ever changed the in line fuel filter ?....I have never heard of this problem...
I wouldnt hesitate to change the fuel pump and in line fuel filter.......
One test you can try .....Get a good drain pan disconnect front line from in line fuel filter...rather than using a pressure gauge to save time turn ignition on and watch how fuel is dispensed into drain pan....you will be able to verify if it is bad....considering the age of vehicle it is surely clogged and or worn unless you have changed the pump, and filter and also cleaned the tank before...
Because all have trash in them......I think you are lucky to have that year of truck...I have a 98 F150
but I do long to have about a 72 model...WHAT engine is it ....IS it fuel injected ...?
This will help diagnosis but you may have just bought it....................I do not know
