Try lock with key fob should go right off. If not you may have bad door jam switch

Thanks for the response, but the lights still stay on for 10 minutes. It's the same when I park and leave unlocked (in my garage) or park and lock (in public parking lot). The head lights (in auto mode) go out in about 6 or 7 seconds when the vehicle is left locked or unlocked.
The only way I have found to keep the interior and mirror light from staying on for 10 minutes after exiting the vehicle is to manually turn them off using the dome light dimming switch.
With the head light switch in auto position and the dome light switch in the on position the interior lights and mirror lights go out immediately when the vehicle is started.

The back seat interior overhead lights of my 2006 Buick Lucerne have begun to stay lit when I'm driving. Pushing on light does not turn it off. How to turn them off manually?

If the rear light on the other side goes on and off by pushing on the light then i would say the switch in the one that stays lit it either stuck or broken and may need to be replaced. i think you could stop by a body shop and they would be able to do it for less money that a Buick dealer would.

My interior dome lights stay on even when driving. they only go off about 5-10 minutes after i turn off the vehicle

the dome light i think is timed off by the body computer but the door jamb switch is probably at fault. on this vehicle it is probably part of the door jamb latch assembly inside the door after removing the door panel???maybe ask a body or auto shop if they could tell you wher it is. some of these newer vehicles have to be reprogrammed by a mechanic to the body computer if it has an coded key for the ignition door lock.

2009 ford focus dome light stays on

Are you sure that the thumb wheel switch beside the headlamp switch is not turned all the way up until it clicks?
If it is staying on for 10 minutes this means that the smart junction box is seeing a demand for the interior lights from something like a door ajar switch or the thumb wheel. If it sees that the igntion is in the off position it will turn the lights off after 10 minutes to conserve battery power.
Normal operation is:
The interior lighting delay feature provides temporary illumination of the courtesy lamps after the doors are opened and then closed. The interior lighting delay feature keeps the courtesy lamps on for a period of 25 seconds after all the doors are closed. If during the 25-second delay time the SJB detects that the ignition has been switched out of off, or if the vehicle is locked using the RKE, the courtesy lamp illumination is discontinued
