Your description may indicate an issue with an ignition module. Once it get hot it shuts down and will not allow the vehicle to start until it cools off. This is just one possibility. To verify this kind of an issue check for spark when the car will not start. The fuel pump can also have an overheating issue verify fuel pressure when not starting. Let me know and will see what else can do to help.

The EGR valve is stuck shut causing this problem. I would have the codes scanned for free at Auto Zone and find out which EGR part is malfunctioning

Try cleaning your injectors, running seafoam through the system, and cleaning the carb. Check all of your vacume hoses and connections as well.

My truck some times dies on exceleration and ruff ideal than runs fine

I had the same problem with my 93 K2500 it only has 159000 on it. It was my catalytic converter, drop the Y pipe going into your exhaust manifold then drive it. You should feel an immediate difference. You can replace it or cut it open if your state doesn't have emission laws. It cost me around 250 and a couple hours of work.

Could be fuel ? I would start by changing fuel filter, it has the quick-connect fittings (takes a special tool too remove the lines). If that did'nt work, then i would do a complete tune up. Plugs, cap, rotor and plug wires. Ps. make sure air filter is not clogged. And check for any vacuum leaks??
Do all this and i think you will be good for a long time...

1993 Mecury Capri Timing Belt? Fuel Injectors?

If the car was running great and then all of a sudden it started this problem and you did not change the timing belt. Then I would say its not your timing belt. Once a timing belt is on its stays timed until it breaks, unless it looses a tooth on the belt and at that point it would run really ruff all the time or not at all. If it cranks well and idles with a small skip but when you add gas it get worse. I would look at your fuel injectors and spark plugs and wires. start simple and work towards the big stuff. most of the time its simple like plugs and wires or gummed up injectors. Run some good injector cleaner as well. Hope this helps
