At wide open throttle, or 90% throttle, the compressor turns off, this is normal.

If you are not opening the throttle this much, and the pressure is still dropping to zero, you may have one of the following problems:

  1. A/C freon undercharged - Charge the system low pressure side to factory recommendations.
  2. If when the system is charged, it still drops to zero, you may have a leak present - Check for leaks or take the vehicle to a A/C shop to have it serviced.

Toyota corolla idles fine when warm but when driving at night the heat gage dam near hits the c line and when I put it in park it idles normal then it goes from normal to low then back every few seconds...

wow, no year stated,
now CC size of engine stated. huge numbers , all diffr.
Corollas sold over eleven generations, pick one. and state it.

sorry no one can , give zero inputs. what exactly and what year. and engine.
1: if it over heats (relic dash guage) use a pyro IR gun to find the truth there. costs what $15?
if it is overheating the engine will not idle right. how cound it.
so work overheat first.
that idle deal is called surging, (or hunting)

not only that , they used CARBs then EFI if many kinds.
so cant comment more.

Could be the Idle Air Control on the throttle body. A simple, low cost fix. Most auto stores carry the part.

2006 envoy at idle of 500 rpm, voltage meter shows low charging, air conditioner quits cooling, lights dim. is the alternator bad?

This is too low an idle speed, it should be around 620 RPM. You probably need to have the throttle body cleaned.

1999 dodge durango "check guages" keeps coming on and oil monitor goes to zero when standing still. I checked the oil yesterday when it first happened and needed to add 2 qts. Oil guage still going to...

You could have either a bad gauge or bad oil pressure sending unit. I would start with the sending unit, it is cheaper and easier to replace.

Volkswagon - temp guage goes to zero while driving? what should I do? what is wrong?

sounds as though you need a thermostat, it's staying open, which won't allow the engine to stay warm,...does it heat up while idling?

Oil light is on

May be bad oil pressure sending unit. Best way to check is to connect a mechanical oil pressure guage to engine and check pressures when engine is warm. Should be no lower than 40 psi at idle when warm, no higher than 70 psi at 2000 rpm.
