Motor may be seized due to lack of lubricating grease. Remove and try to regrease and free it up or replace.

The winshield wipers do not work

First thing to look at should be the fuse. The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position and function of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search the wiper fuse it should be around 15 to 20 amps.

If your fuses are ok the next step is the switch and the wiring. Wiper motors are traditionally pretty reliable.

99 yukon brake lights will not work, repllaced brake light switch still wont work

Had the same problem on my Yukon, I had to get the winshield wiper switch (controls cruise control, turn signal, and winshield wipers) replaced. This switch controls the hazards as well.

Changed the heater core in 2002 ford ranger, now the winshield wipers wont work, bought new switch and still wont work? what is it????also the interior lights wont work. all fuses are ok.

Why did you buy a switch? Did the original one meter out bad? Never replace any part till you understand how it works and how to test it. Work the wipers and the lighting issues as two separate problems. The wiper motor or relay etc may have failed around the same time as the heater core. Two separate things Unplug the wiper motor and turn the key on. Meter out the connector in different switch modes. Need a schematic of the circuit. Lights-- Problem is after the fuses and they are the start of most circuits. so you know you have an open circuit like a connector under the dash you disturbed unknowingly during the heat core deal or a loose ground wire.

Just bought 2004 passat and winshield wipers dont work

If both wipers are not working, then first of all check your fuses, if fuses are good follow wiper motor wires or look in owner's manual to find the wiper relay. Test relay with ohmmeter to see if it is good or just replace it.
Double check all wiring.
Last possible cause would be the a bad wiper switch which you can also test with an ohmmeter

My winshield wipers only work at times.

I'm not clear, one what? One fuse or one wiper? The wiper motor is under the hood on the drivers side. I'm asking one what because if one wiper is not working then it could be fixed by just simply tightening the nut on the wiper arm/s. But that's if the wiper/s aren't working with the wiper transmission. Good luck.
