What are the pressures? And the low side line going into the firewall should be cold.We need to know what the pressures are,and is the evaporator sweating>and giving off condensation? If the vents are blowing out 80 degrees, then the temp door is not moving .It is either a door actuator motor,or a vacuum that is not working the temp door, check for a bad vacuum under the hood, going into the firewall.

Leak in "high pressure tube" causing A/C to not work

There are a couple of high pressure lines in your a/c system. The high pressure side usually hovers around 200-225 psi on warm days so the lines cannot be spliced. The system, by law, must be recovered and evacuated before any repair can be made. I'm sorry to tell you but this is not a repair that can be done at home in your garage unless you have a Freon recovery and evacuation machine at home.

AC blows warm air. 07 GMC Envoy 6 cyl. 4wd

You probably replace the wrong switch. I believe the high pressure switch is mounted in the back of the compressor. Pull the plug and jump it. If it works, replace the switch. I don't recommend you leave the jumper in the plug. If it the A/C pressure is to high, you could blow lines and such. Costing you a lot of money.

My A/C is blowing warm air. Someone said to clean the A/C fliter where is it? It's a 97 GMC Sonoma 2.6 L. Two wheel drive.

It does not have one, and if it did it would not make it blow warm air, just less air. Have the freon charge checked in the AC system for proper pressures, would be a good place to start, & check to see if the AC compressor is kicking in. I hope this helps.

1997 jetta ac works for one minute then warm air blows

check the refrigerant level. The compressor is running until the low pressure or high pressure switch switch cuts it off.

Running the unit without enough refrigerant will damage the compressor because the lubricating oil is dissolved in the refrigerant. This is the reason for the low pressure switch cut off--to protect the compressor from damage.

If pressure gets too high, the compressor seals will blow. Thus the reason for the high pressure switch. Too much refrigerant or too much air in the system (due to a leak) will cause high pressures.

If refrigerant level appears to be correct, then suspect trapped air from a leak causing a high pressure cut-off. If refrigerant is low, suspect a leak causing a low pressure cut-off.

Air conditioner fully charged 1991 geo prizim blowing hot air

Turn on A/C to MAX and check to make sure the a/c clutch is engaged. If not, check fuses and relays. Also your system might be overcharged enabling the high pressure switch.

1997 Geo Prizm - does not start

sounds liike a fuel problem, turn key on without starting listen for fuel pump kicking on if it does now check the connections at the pump/fuse if it is kicking on the you can check the fuel pressure by checking the little valve on the fuel rail next to the intake looks just like the air valve on your tires if there is no pressure then check fuel filter.

what makes u say ur ac refrigerant has a blocked passage? check the low pressure line by touching it with ur hand while ac is running/ it has to be freezing cold/ if not cooling it means ur compressor is weak and or refrigerant is low/ high pressure line is normally hot/ check ac magnetic clutch operation must engage when ac switch is on and disengage when ac is turned off/ check ac condenser must be blocked and needs cleaning....

Turning air conditioner on makes geo slow and wastes more gas

This most likely is not a problem, if the ac blows cold air.... sorry but it is physics.

If you still think something is wrong, I would need 4 things, temp in front of radiator, temp, at center ac vent when on high, and the AC low and high pressure readings.

Long story short, or saving money....fact is the ac typically does not work if over or under filled...

The load is what it takes, and if you had tons of horsepower you would notice it less, but hey, you are cooling, so ...sounds normal to me.
