You can change your thermostat. It may be stick open. You can also buy a higher temperature thermostat if you really want to heat things up.

The heater kicks on but only blows cold air

Air Temperature Control Blend Door Failure No Heat or no AC (dependes on where door sticks)

In all modern cars there is a tiny DC electric motor driven gear drive that moves a plastic door that blends heated and cooled air from the AC and the heater core, this is called (interestedly enough) the air temperature control blend door actuator. The motor that moves this door fails because the door starts sticking from warping, most common complaint is no heat but it can be no AC as well. To replace these parts (blend door and blend door actuator) you must remove the entire dash from the car. Always have this problem confirmed by a dealer or qualified repair shop as it is a very expensive repair.

Other causes of no heat in the cabin are engine thermostats that are stuck open (engine runs cold) or air bubbles in the cooling system.

I have 83 prelude car runs great put new batt

excuse me sir , Kindly explain us what your present problem is ?
For eg . If you hear the engine trying to start and still not able to start , then the problem is not with your battery system .
You can check for engine complaints .
The Fuel injection system might be clogged or contaminated . You can clean it by giving to any nearby workshop .
Other chances are that you might have totalled your engine by running without engine oil . Well dont worry ,
ther are more chances with the wiring system, the wiring system of the engine might be faulty.
. Check the spark plugs of the engine for complaint . Do contact me if u need details on how to do that by yourself .
Please mention in detail what all abnormalities your car shows at present.
Thanking you , Dixon Dominic

2000 Jaguar S type 3.0 Blows only cold air on full heat. Just replaced heater control valve with no change. Also flushed and replaced thermostat. Car operating temperaure is fine. Both heater hoses are...

Check the little pump below the brake booster for running and the coolant valve for movement.

Both hoses to fire wall should be hot.

Check for air lock in system.

Blend doors on this vehicle stop working....common complaint.

To verify Blend door movement, turn on ignition with engine off.

Run temp to max and the min..... listen under glove box for ( sliding ) motor noise as door swings from hot to cold.

This is a digital system needing a Jaguar scanner for diagnosis.

Where do i add freon in my 2003 malibu?

There is an aluminum tube running around near the top of the engine with 2 plastic caps on it on either end.The cap nearest the belt system is the fill point. With the engine running and the a/c on,fill it up at one quarter can intervals and check the coldness.Once it is cold enough stop.Over filling the system too much could damage it.If you end up losing the coldness fairly quick, there is probably a leak and needs to be checked out but I haven't heard any complaints yet.It took my car 15 years before it leaked too.Good luck! Ford escort 1.6i 16v been running lumpy at first start then after about 30secs it starts run fine have noticed idle does drop now again never cuts out had new lambda and cat plugs leads the lot

But what is your complaint?
All cars have to run lumpy at first when they are cold, because fuel will condense on the inside of the intake manifold. You should always assume it take a while to warm up. It takes 30 seconds for everything to get fully oiled anyway. But a smaller sparkplug gap will improve cold performance, at the sacrifice of mileage.

My 2001 lincoln ls starts hard when the engine is cold, wondering why

One issue is octane. You must use the specified octane, according to Ford. Lower octane is more explosive, many owners were using higher octane and generating yoru complaint.
