Are the odometer and stuff at the bottom of the dash coming on? if not could be a bad solder joint on the printed circuit board of the dash that is fairly common with them. turn the key to the on position but don't actually start it yet and see if the lights are on, if not give the dash a nice whack right between the tach and the spedo and see if the lights come on. if that works then should be able to crank it up. low tech but if that is the prob it usually works to diagnose it instead of taking apart the dash and checking which would be the permanent fix. Hope this helps.
