Question about 1999 Audi A4
It has to be done with VagCom diagnostic software or a VagCom scanner. If you have a laptop computer, go to www.ross-tech.com and download VagCom version USB409. Go on eBay and order a USB to OBD2 cable (just search for Audi A4 diagnostic cable) for about $25. Then you'll have the software and can do this (and a lot more) by yourself. If it's irritating you badly, you'll have to take it to a shop to do this (and probably pay 1/2 hr to 1 hr service rate for this 4 minute procedure). If you can wait until your cable arrives, you can do it yourself. Having the light on will not harm anything, nor will it keep the airbags from working.
