This sensor is integral to the transmission. it is not an external serviceable item.

I have a 1999 GMC K1500 4X4 SUBURBAN WITH A 5.7 liter engine. Problem is that it won't shift into Overdrive. Replaced both of the Speed Sensors that are located above the transmission and still only get...


overdrive servo/ solenoid is not operational , either from failed unit or wiring problem
check transmission actuator for operation or adjustment as well

mass air flow sensor is between the air cleaner box and the throttle body on the engine it has the screen it after you disconnect the air box from it.

How many qt. of fluid does 98 gmc transmission hold? not sure engine size..


when changing the filter? maybe 4, at overhaul maybe 10-11?

Need info on a shift solenoid for 97 3.8 liter chry town an country


The shift solenoid is a valve that controls shift timing.
The solenoid pack is located inside the transmission on top of the valve body.

Transmission wont shift


check the kickdown/throttle valve cable. It may be bound up and stuck in the maximum position giving you extremely late shifts.

There ISN"T any modulators or vac lines on any Chrysler automatics

usaully solenoid is located when you drop your tranny pan sits off to the side has electrical connector to it
