Hi, far left side of dash. Must open Driver's door to access the panel which simply pops off.
You can also view the Owner Guide online (which includes the fuse box diagram) at www.motorcraftservice.com
Take care

Go to this website and pick owner guide on left task bar. Input vehicle info then get the owners manual.Your fuse panel info starts on page 120.

To replace lighter just reach around behind it and unhook connectors. The stick something in the socket(I usually use 2 fingers) and twist it counter clockwise. the center will screw out of the sleeve.

SOURCE: cabin filter location mercury mountaineer

There is one for the 2003 Mercury Mountaineer. If you are smellign a "vinegar" odor, mix a solution of 1 part bleach to 3 parts water and pour it down the grid at the base of the windshield. It will take care of the smell.

Hi Roy, I haven't looked through the manual to see if it indicates the location of the fuse for fog lights, but here is a link to Mercury Mountaineer owner manuals, which might provide the information you are seeking: http://owner.ford.com/servlet/ContentServer?pagename=Owner/Page/OwnerGuidePage&year=2005&make=Mercury&model=Mountaineer

I have a 1999 mountaineer and none of the power seats work. I have looked at the book and do not see a fuse for this. Am I missing it or is this not a fuse problem.

In the fuse box located on the drivers side of the dashboard, you want to check fuse 18 - it is a 25 amp fuse for running the power seats and also the auto-lock relays if I remember correctly.

1999 Mercury Mountaineer, heater/AC fan no longer blowing

I would check the fan first disconnect the electrical connectors on it and use a pair of home made jumper cables and run it from the battery. If it works move unto relay if it doesn't you've found the culprit.
Next check relay in the fuse box. Coolant tempertant switch(CTS) aka thermal switch and its circuit. CTS is usually located in the water jacket by the t-stat.

Looking for a printout for a1999 mercury mountaineer fuse box

It will be faster to just pull one fuse at a time and check them out. You might also buy a test light, they are cheap and handy.
