How did you replace an air bag with the wrong connector ?

Now you ask why do I have other problems

The cruise control is not on the srs system & you won't
have a CAN system on a 1999 vehicle,so work on the

My cruise control won't work and my brake light is on. The car is a 1994 Toyota Camry. Thank you.

Your brakes warning light or your actual brake lights? If it is your warning light that can come Monday if you're park break is on or slightly on or the switch that says that it is on is faulty, in which case it may tell your cruise control to turn off. If your brake lights stay on there's something pul to you about your switch by the pedal as your cruise will not work when you hit the bricks and this will be perceived as you hitting the brakes. A break warning light will also, come on if your brake fluid is low.

Aftermarket LED stop/tail lights prevent cruise control working. Seems the cruise has a logic input, normally held low by brake light cct, but with LEDs, it stays high. Only answer without using power...

Too difficult to do this way. Place a diode in each input leg of the stop/tail light cct to prevent back current flow to the effected ccts.I have done this as I had the same problem as my cruise control and traction control where inoperable. These 'high end' features of later model cars disconnect when you brake but in most case insted of a simple on/off brake switch the swich is double thow and it it turns on brake light and turns off other ccts

if it is the coil spring in the steering column the airbag light will be on, also and if there are any controls (like for the cruise or radio) they will also be inoperable

If there is a recall on the clock spring have the dealer replace it. if the cruise works great... if not you have eliminated a possible cause.
