Could be a bulb shorting out inside or the multi plug connection on the headlight

If not it will be a internal circut fault to the battery backed sounder wich is located behind the left front fog lamp. They share the same fuse and are common to fault

I have no headlights . Fuse no 67 keeps blowing ( Battery back up sounder , transit relay , hid/dip relay , brake vacuum control

Getting the obvious out of the way like ; you are fitting the correct rated fuse? and I have assumed that the car is standard and you haven't fitted higher power headlights etc

It sounds like a short circuit, and could be caused by a chafed or damaged wire, if it blows when you do something in particular (like select Hi beam) then start looking in that area.

All you can do is try each item in turn until you discover the culprit then look in that area. Failing that inspect each of the areas associated with the fuse for the possible cause, take care to look inside the headlamps (a lot of heat in here can damage cables).

Finally if all else fails start disconnecting the devices where possible one at a time until it stops happening (takes out a lot of fuses) start with the battery back up sounder located behind the front fog lamp LHS I think, these are a common failure point.

It sounds like you already have the info you need but If you don't a list of fuse feeds can be found on

Hope this helps

I have a 2 litre 2004 diesal x type and need to know whcih fuse is for the right hand dip beam

The fuse must be in the main fuse box. The position of the fuses is normally marked on the inside of the fuse box cover and also in the owner's handbook. If you don't come right with these, work your way through the fuses looking for a blown one. To ease your search, the light fuse should be between 10 to 15 amps.

Inside the engine compartment, behind your battery is the fuse box. Open your plastic cover and on the underside you will see the fuse schematic. Look for F16. That is the fuse for your left head lamp. 20 amp yellow fuse.

Hello all, help required please! The dipped headlamp bulbs keep blowing on my X Type Jaguar, 2.0 SE petrol 2003 model. I've been told that the wiring needs to be replaced to resolve. Ideally I would like...

This is not really a solution, but more like a thought.. If the wiring is bad.. you'd be more likely to be shorting out, blowing fuses.. Have you checked the voltage regulator? If it's spiking from time to time, could blow head lights, without necessarily blowing other things. Have you checked the headlight mounts. Vibration could cause them to go out offten. You did not say how often they blow ! Or if they go together or one at time. [One thing I noticed with high performance bulbs, they seem to last almost exactly one year. (Give or take a month )]

I have a 2005 Toyota Rav4. both of my low beam headlights have gone out at the same time. I still have high beam lights, park lights, break lights, for lights, ect. What could cause (other than bad...

hi, sometimes the DIP BEAM light shorts itself and this blows the fuse. if you take the fusebox cover off turn the fusebox cover over, this will tell you witch fuse is for the dip beam. you need to take out the lamps and check these and the fuse. if this is not the prolem then the wire suppling the dip lamps is shorted. or another circuit nearby is shorted to it. gerry

No dipped beam headlights on audi a4 1,9td 2003

Check up dipped beam headlights fuse inside fuse box. For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram. If the dipped beam headlights fuse is OK, check up dipped beam headlights bulbs.
