SOURCE: 98 Olds LLC - AC works but fan air does not blow

If you have a late model GM car and the system is controlled electronically the blend door actuator becomes weak. When this situation occurs it will not move the air direction door inside of the heater/air conditioner plenum. in your case not to the vents Replace the actuator with new and recheck the system. i hope this helps

Sounds like your refrigerant is low/out. There is a product you can buy at your local wal-mart/auto store called EZ Chill Auto Air Conditioning Refrigerant. I've used this item personally in my own vehicals and it works awsome. One bottle comes with everything you need including detailed instructions and is super easy to put in. Costs anywhere from $25-35. Well worth it...hope this helps.

I have a 1991 dodge colt vista they said i need pistons or rebuild the motor is it worth fixing it or should i sell it to the ecolgy wreck please give me a answer quick and how much will it cost me to fix...

A professional engine rebuild can cost anywhere from $500 to $1500 or more, depending on what needs to be replaced/serviced.

If you plan on doing the work yourself, you could get away with less than $200.

Whether or not it's "worth it" to fix the car or replace it, is relative. You have to remember to factor in the cost of purchasing/fixing a new car versus the one you're driving now.

Vehicle resale value should not be considered in whether or not it's "worth it" to repair a vehicle, unless you intend to repair it before selling it. The primary consideration should be the cost of fixing it versus the costs you will incur utilizing other options, such as buying new, buying used with payments, buying used outright, etc.

Keep in mind that all vehicles eventually need service, and a more expensive vehicle tends to need more expensive service procedures.

it's your instrument cluster (digital speedometer). Changed mine today with a used one at the junk yard. A $50 fix, but it's worth it. The only way I knew was to buy the service manual for the car.

IS this car worth fixing up?

It depends on a few things...first, do you have money to buy a brand new car or make payments on a new car? Does that car have sentimental value to you? Can you get your money back if you fixed it back up and sold it? (blue book value of the car plus the cost of repairs) Do you like the make and model you have and are you comfortable owning and driving that car for the next few years? Other things to cosider is do you own another car? Was the car given to you? Is it worth sending it to the junk yard?
