NOPE LEAVE IT AUTOMATIC CONTROL.LET THE HEIGHT SENSOR CONTROL THE AIR COMPRESSOR TO AIR SPRINGS.IF YOU OVER RIDE THE SYSTEM YOU COULD PUT TOO MUCH AIR IN AIR SPRINGS AND DAMAGE THEM.

about my mark viii i want to see if i can lift it anough to get it off the ground and to see if the pump work's

WELL THE CONTROL SWITCH SHOULD TURN ON THE AIR SPRINGS ON IF NOT CHECK CIRCUIT BREAKER TO COMPRESSOR.YOU COULD HOT WIRE THE COMPRESSOR BUT DONT RUN IT TOO LONG OR IT WILL OVER HEAT CAUSING DAMAGE TO COMPRESSOR BUT YOU NEED WIRING DIAGRAM TO HOT WIRE TO SEE IF ITS WORKING.RUN COMPRESSOR LITTLE AT A TIME LIKE 30 SECONDS.YOU NEED A SUPER STAR 2 TESTER TO CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR AIR SPRING COMPRESSOR AND HEIGHT SENSOR ARE WORKING AND NO FAULTS IN SYSTEM.

2002 Buick rendezvous 3.4liter has an auxiliary air pump located in the rear. Push the on button it clicks but nothing. Also the air ride Dont seem to work. Is there a fuse or something I could try.

Well if the pump doesn't work then the air ride won't either as it is what pressurizes the system. I suggest you pull the air pump and test it to see if it runs.

Why does the air pump on my 2008 Isuzu ascender keeps running and killing the battery

check the load leveler checked. it is what determine the ride height and how much air to ad to the system. also check for air leaks. if you are leaking air, this will kick your pump on.

I have a 96 lincoln mark 8 my air ride wont come up but i was wondering if i could pump it up some how some way

Depends on what the problem is. If you have a leak in the system and the pump is running, I would say no.
If the pump is not running, you may have a shrader fitting like a tire valve on the side of the pump which you could apply air pressure to.
You could have a ride height sensor failure which could prevent you from keeping air in the system.

I have a 99 deville and have put in a new rear subframe, and the air ride seems werid. I hear the pump come on but it bottoms out when people are in ut. Help me please.

The dealer can run an active test on the air ride system with a special GM scanner, I suggest you have that test run and then fix whatever they suggest yourself.

Air shocks are low, how do you inflate them

Hello, This is an automatic system and there is an off/on switch in the trunk. If you just had Service work done on your car, someone may have forgotten to turn the switch back on.

Your Air-ride system has a bunch of sensors and will not pump up if any door or the trunklid is not fully closed. If you do not hear your compressor for the Air-ride running, then the pump may be bad, a fuse blown(probably a bad pump), or one of the above switches is not registering.

You can get free scans for a lot of problems at Autozone, Advance, or Oreilys to name a few. But call ahead because not all of the Scanners are capable of reading this system. A lot of the electrical problems can be diagnosed but the air lines, and suspension bags may need to be tested with a spray bottle of soapy water.

There are height sensors which may have slipped positions and there are venting valves which control letting the air out of the system. Should a vent valve corrode in an open position, the air will continue to escape while the pump runs. The Diagnostic scanner saves money by reducing repair time and you easily may need to replace only 1 defective part to restore the entire operation of the system.

If you locate a leak, turn off the system and allow the air to bleed out. You do not what to remove parts holding High pressure without bleeding the system down. Securely jack the vehicle if you are climbing underneath because the car can squat down when you disconnect a pressure component.

Independent shops can fix your car as well as a Dealer. Body shops have to deal with the Air-ride systems for collision repair and this may give you additional Repair shops to go to for a repair.
I hope my solution is very helpful to you.

The front leveling sensor is bad how do you override the air ride system

there is no way to over ride the leveling system, there is a shut off switch, but if shut off in time the air will be depleted out of the system and will bottom out the suspension and cause damage to other components and also the vehicle will be riding very low to the ground, leaving the leveling sensor without repair will in time the air ride pump. hope this helps

Where is the air ride system pump located on a 1996 lincoln town car. i also need to no how to get a diagram of it>

It is possibly located under either one of the front guards, I had a 1990 ford fairlane (Australian) and that is where the Air Ride compressor was located in that.
They usually run dry and wont pump the Air into the system, I removed the 2 rear Air Shocks from mine and replaced them with normal air shocks that you pump up at the garage and never had any more trouble.

Air ride pump not working 98 towncar

Check your rear air springs see if they have any cracks if so the pump may be burned up since a leak will cause pump to run more thn normal and fry pump if no cracks in air springs the dealer might be the only help, also keep in mind you can replace air spring with regular coil springs (marquis, crown vic) and add some after market air shocks that you can fill with reg air compressor
