Your Toyota should be in four wheel drive all the time. If you look at your owner's Manual it should give you some options, but you should not be able to take it out of four will drive it should be fulltime four wheel drive. Good luck.

If you rarely use low range, the actuator for the center differential lock may have stuck. Unfortunately, it's a bear to get at. You also need to have difference in the rates that the front and rear drive shafts turn at to get the diff to disengage - try doing figure-8s or big S turns. But find someplace off the pavement to do it!

The indicator light for the four wheel drive stays on when disengaged from four wheel drive

There are sensors in modern AWD / 4WD vehicles and if it is truly disengaged, is probably just a bad sensor. Anyway, without the year, make and model vehicle - it's hard to get into specifics or help from someone that knows which vehicle you're asking abut.

Front passenger door does not stay locked while driving locks when I start, but does not stay locked. 2007 CRV

If the door locks properly, it is not the actuator. It's only function is to lock or unlock the door. Something is sending a signal for it to unlock. Just like if you try to lock it with the keys in the ignition, it automatically unlocks. Maybe read through the locking options in the owner's manual.

Low tire pressure light stays on in spite of adequate pressure in all four tires.

Your wheel bearing needs replaced! You can have the abs diag and will tell you which whell bearing is bad. Soon your traction light and abs light will come on.

My 1985 BMW got locked and it wont stay on

if this is a 1985 model car, then its pretty old...

i think you are saying that you crank it,it starts, then it goes dead over and over again?

or are you saying that you think the security system has disabled your engine?i have a '85 535i and a '84 528e i've had a different problem with the 535i and have just been driving the 528e.my point being that i cant remember everything about the 535i but i can look and tell you where everything is if you dont know or cant find out.

have you tried holding your foot down on the accelerator while you were trying to crank it?this shouldnt have to be done if your engine is repaired and adjusted properly, but you are just trying to see if it will run.

i dont think the security system would disable the engine like that as you say "locked" which could either mean the security system locked out the engine or that someone told you your motor is "locked up" and that cant be if it runs at all...

if it stays running with your foot on the gas a little then you will need some adjustment or some parts.probably a visit to a bmw shop.i was able to get both the 528 and 535 engine running smoothly with a flat head screwdriver and an allen wrench as well as doing some basic maintenence like changing the plugs, wires, rotor, cap, and oil,air and fuel filters(there are two filters on the 5 series bmw)without taking an 85 model car to the shop and paying a bunch of money to get it fixed, but thats not for everyone.good luck.

Truck shakes in four whell drive

I think you may have a problem with the drive shaft angle being to steep, check with a drive line shop for the correct angle, the make special wedge shaped shims to correct this problem.
