Check the battery cables they sound like they are corroded.

Check your connections on the starter solenoid and the coil, check the ground cables both body and engine if applicable.

try to over ride the security system, put it on valet and see if the problem persists.

How does the ignition switch feel when you insert the key to atart...does it feel excessively loose? If so replace the Ignition switch assembly.

2006 chevy colorado out of the blue will not start. just makes clicking sound. Started it drove out of garage shut it off. Went back out 5 minutes later won't start. Clock even reset.

Sounds like a bad battery. A number of chain auto parts stores will check it and your charging system free. Before that, if your battery has removable caps, check the water level, if it's down, fill to the bottom of the fill rings and charge the battery, if you have a battery hydrometer, all the cells should have about the same charge level, if one or more show a lot lower than the others, battery is probably bad. Hope this helps.

Colorado Transmission and high idle

The coolant temp sensor could cause the problems.
If the sensor says the coolant is 15 degrees several things would happen.
The only way to know is to be able to attack it when it happens which would be hard to predict. You could replace the sensor but may never know if it is fixed or not.
The check engine light should have come on when that code was set.

My 2006 chevy colorado is making a clicking sound and won't turn over

Your Main Battery is Flat, get a jump start if its safe or remove the battery and hook it up to a charger. Maybe you left your lights on, or your alternator isnt charging the battery properly when your driving around. Sometimes this can be the bushes located in the alternator.

Truck want start sometimes, have to wait for about 10 mins then it will start. took it to the dealer they cant find anything wrong .can you help me? i have a 2006 chevy colorado.

Check to see if there is a light on the dash that says "security" or "antitheft" or a picture of a car with a lock thru it when this happens again. The fact that the truck starts after 10 minutes makes me think its a failing antitheft system disabling either your starter or fuel injectors. This is actually a VERY common GM problem. 2006 chevy colorado cranks over but wont start

2005 Colorado 4x4 stick shift – I had the same thing happen and it had to do with the passlock system – it will keep your truck from starting for approximately 10 minutes, yes you will have to wait and let it sit- if you try to start it will just turn over forever. On my truck the solution was to change my starting procedure, I now keep the truck in neutral-turn the key all the way for a few seconds and then push in the clutch- it starts every time. If you have an automatic I don’t know..

How do you get the front rotors off of a 2004 Chevy Colorado? More specifically, do you take off the hub assembly, and if so, how?

If this is a 4wd the rotors are "captured" and machined on the truck using an on car lathe. Otherwise you should get a printout of all the steps from a dealer.
