Question about 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser
I have a 2004 pt cruiser with a turbo,70,000 miles on it.it idles on high for a minute then goes back to normal for about 10 0r 15 minutes then back to a high idle, not sure whats wrong.maybe replace plugs and plug wires?

You may sneak it out with small fingers with out pulling out the starter.
If starter removal is required,Just unhook the battery cables,Remove the 2 bolts holding the starter on.

That is the first thing i would suggest you do. Replace all the spark plugs and the plug wires. Those 2 things are the most commen thing that cause misfires.

He can do it. Tell him to just be patient (everything is a tight fit in a PT) and remember to disconnect the battery first. No special tools are required. He may have to move a bracket or two for access. It lives on the left side (front) of the motor and easiest to get to from underneath.
