Loud knocking noise from a 03 santa fe 3.5L

I drove my hyundai santa fe v6 3.5L for 3 mins and shut it off fot about 30 mins and started it up again and it had a loud knock. I replaced the coils plugs wire and air filter and I still have the same noise it seems to be coming from cylinders 1, 3, and 5 its a loud ticking sound coming from the rear head what could it be? The motor runs and accels smooth to be a leak in the cylinders or valves

SOURCE: front wheel alignment

thanks for your reply/update the reason for front tyres wearing as you describe would suggest the steering tracking is wrong and for some reason ?the tyre wear on inner isindication the track is toeing out too much ? this fault could be ? simple adjustment req'd however dependand on make of tyres has to be considered when tracking as to whether they toe in or out or straight ahead ? also front wheel drive ? there could be other factors b4 tracking is adjusted such as steering joints wear ? or damage ? also suspension ? as i mentioned best to visit a good tyre depot and let them investigate while you wait and give you a reportas to fault normally free in uk if it is simply tracking req's re adjust then they can do it and charge for the adjusting not expensive and they may also recommend switching wheels from rear to front providing tread are good ? hope this helps best wishes

SOURCE: Hyundai Santa Fe 2005 won't shift into first gear

Most likely the o-ring seal between the torque converter and the transmission is going bad. Get that transmission rebuilt pronto before serious damage is done! But first, have a mechanic drop the transmission pan and look for signs of a very thin silvery film coating the inside of the pan. If found, then the transmission definitely will have to be rebuilt, and the torque converter will also have to be replaced since embedded metallic particles in the old torque converter will eventually come loose, due to wear of the clutch plates within the torque converter, and eat up the rebuilt transmission. Now, here is the deal once the transmission has been rebuilt:

Change the transmission fluid and filter once a year -- no matter what! If you do this, then you should never have any more problems with the transmission.

You know it is gone for both those reasons. Bearings are shot and the oil seals are gone. Plus the noise come from it.

If your Santa Fe has a V6 engine 2.7L , it sounds like you have an ignition break down happening. You will need to renew all the ignition wires and check the two coils also for arcing .
