You pull that out the bottom but you have to take the sub frame off also the engine has to be supported with a support tool that goes to each fender it's a big job if youve never done this before.

Is it easier to pull the motor when replacing the transmision, or is there a way i can replace it from under the car.

You can replace from underside without pulling engine, just make sure is raised at least 18 inches give yourself room to work and for clearance.

How do you check and add transmition fluid on a 2006 VW Passat

The best way is on a lift, the engine must be warm and car level, with the motor running remove the plug on the bottom of the trany pan, oil should leak out a little, this means its full if not then on top side of trany remove the fill pull cap and add from there until it starts to run out of the plug, theres a long tube in the pan and oil will only run out when level is higher than the tube. hope this helps.f781d2f.png75884bb.png1d36d6b.png

Need to pull engine, 4.3, on 97 chevy blazer 4x4 but 3 trany to engine bolts are not accessible. is it standard practice to pull trans at same time?

what you can do is to remove the motor mounts
and that may let the motor lay down more to get to the top bolts on the trans
I dont think that you can pull the trans and transfer case with it

Won't shift in to second gear or drive. Only in first and reverse. '93 ford taurus, v6 auto.

I am very sorry to say the trany is bad. Two ways to fix. Replace the trany yourself with a new one or have your local tany repair shop rebuild it. Dollar amount is about the same. The only way to remove the tany is by pulling the engine and trany out of the top as one unit. If you work on it full time, expect and expert to do it in four days. Day one, disconnect everything. Day two, pull engine and trany out, seperate the two and replace with new one, put completed unit back in. Day three hook everything back up. Day four, fix what ever you forgot to do!! Heavy tools set needed along with jacks, jack stands, and engine lift. Hope this helps.

How do i check my transmission fluid? for a 2000

Set the parking brake and put a block on at least one wheel. Pop the hood and find the Transmission dipstick. Start the engine and shift the gear shift into neutral. Pull the dipstick, wipe it with a clean rag, put it back in, pull it out and read it.

How do you remove transmission in 1996 park avenue?

Drain pan, take out axles, put motor support on the top to hold motor while pulling. Disconnect trany lines, put trany jack under transmission. The K frame needs to come out completely that is why you need the motor support chain to the motor top.Take bolt out of bell housing. Disconnect all connectors and cables. Transmission mount will need to be removed on passenger side. You need to take the 4 bolts out of the converter...you can jump the starter if you have a remote switch or however you would like to do it to gain access to the converter bolts; otherwise, you will need to turn it with a screwdriver until you get all of the bolts out. Then you take the transmission jack and begin to pull the trany side ways until it clears the engine and let it down and that should do it...there are a few obvious things that will need to be taken out on top of the motor, even a few that I didn't mention on the bottom, but for the most part that should do it.

Getting auto trany out

to pull the top transmision bolts you need about 3 feet of extentions so your ratchet is backat the tail stock of the transmision. or drop the trans mount and allow the trans to lowwer to the ground . you may want to remove the fan so it does not hit the radiator. as well as use a floor jack to lower the trans. good luck
