Question about 2006 Mazda 6
I have a problem with my Mazda 6 2006 and wonder if you guys would be able to
help me out. My wife was driving it out of her Mother?s driveway. As she was
driving out she hit a bump pretty hard and it hit the bottom of the front end.
She went further and had to stop for traffic. When she tried to drive out into
the road, the car wouldn?t go forward. She put it in reverse and went backward
so she figured she would try forward again and nothing. Then she put it back
into reverse to get it out of the way and it would go in reverse either at that
point. It?s not the cv joint and I have no idea what else it could possibly be.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. There is transmission fluid and nothing
seems to be leaking. The rpm's go up when you step on the gas but the car wont
go foward or in reverse.
Hi! There could be a loosen vaccum hose somewhere so you will need to trace it out. If theres a vaccum leak most likely the shifting fails. If everything seems to be in place try to have the transmission solenoids checked for it may have been hit during the bump. Hope this helps and have a good one!
