Compressor sounds to have failed. Assuming when you press the switch the cooling fans run and the drive belt is good thats my suspicion. If the cooling fans (immediatley behind front grill) dont run probably electrical. Aircon should be run for atleast 10 mins a month cos the gas has oil in it to lubricate the rubber seals. If not the seals fail, the gas leaks and then
the compressor burns out

If the AC switch on the compressor doesn't work, then the system is likely low on refrigerant and won't operate it to reduce the chance of damaging the compressor, due to a leak in the system.

V09a1aa4ak oil capacity

There is no need to add oil to an ac compressor unless you have had a massive leak. new compressors come with the right amount of oil. The compressor oil circulates with the gas and by the time the gas pressure drops from a leak then the amount of oil leaked out is just a few drops. Excessive oil in the system stops the TX valve from working and causes problems . If still in doubt then talk to an accredited ac specialist

A/C clutch kicks on intermitten on my 2004 Corolla.

power to the ac compressor is the problem
could be the thermostat relay or what you have the ac set at
the ac will cycle if the cabin temp is at the setting
if you have climate control it will cycle as well

Ac unit only works sometimes in 98 accord

Check the amount of refrigerant in the system. If thats ok, you might have a bad pressure switch. If the system is full. Find the low and high pressure switch. Run the ac with just the high press swith unplugged. see if the problem occurs. Do the same for the low side. More than likely if your system is full on refirgerant, and trust me I would check that first. Could save you alot of time. Then it could be a pressure swith, and a simple test like that can tell you. But in order for that to wirk you maust have the ac system fully charged. NOT OVER FILLED WITH SOME ADVANCE AUTO PARTS ****. Go to a tech and have them do this correctly.

A/C not working, just stoped as I was driving, and started blowing warm air. Got home and the copressor wasn't turning checked the fuse, good, checked the voltage at compressor, not good, took the car to...

Have the AC compressor cycling switch tested, it is in the low side (large Line) coming off the AC compressor, it may be stuck, this is very common.

Compressor won't come on and check engine light stays on......

I have a 1990 Buick Park Ave and it may be that the AC is low and that's why the AC won't come on.

You also might want to check out the belt situation. It may be very worn .

On an annual basis I top up the AC with a can I buy from a Auto store.

Hopefully that helped.
