All cars sold after 1996 have to have obd-II capability. The old way of pulling up codes for obd-I are not applicable after that.

Change O2 sensor the check engine light still on, giving a reading of lean when hooke to the ob2 sensor

Of coarse it is still on

An O2 Sensor Code, does not tell you
to change anything.

You have a system malfunction to diagnose,
like a lean condition.

Study OBD 2 Systems on the internet, education
is the key

Nothing seems to be happening at this time except the check engine light comes on. We checked it with the OB2 and received the PO161 code and erased it, it came back on in a day.

That code is probably for the tundra, I see alot of those with that problem, thankfully toyota will cover the front o2 sensor under warranty however not the back "bank 2 sensor 2"

When replacing this be sure to use a DENSO sensor to ensure it will last as long as possible.

Check engin light on and VSC on to Checked engin cod P0135

you should take your car to a shop where they will use and ob2 connector which will give you specifics on why the code has come can also buy an ob2 connector at a store and try it yourself but it would probably be cheaper to take it to a shop

Toyota runs then stops

Yes, it could be the fuel pump. The cheapest way to fully diagnose the problem is to get to a garage and have them hook it up to a OB2 port machine and have them pull the code. That code will tell exactly what is going on. More than likley you will have to go to a garage to get this fixed if it isn't easily fixed. Could also be the fuel rail on the motor(injectors). Good luck.
