Oct 28, 2009 - My passenger side window is not responding to either the driver side orpassenger side switch. It is in the up position and wont go down.

have you checked the relays and the fuse

if more than one power window not working you have blowed fuse or you have window on lock out mode on the master control switch on the driver side.if master window control switch on driver side wont work but 2 windows will work using their switch the master control switch on driver side is bad.

my power window on the diver side wont go up or down but the other 3 switches on the driver panel work what could be the problem

did you check under the hood for a relay? it should be listed on a diagram in your owners manual. if you dont have one, a repair manual should show it,you can sometimes find an open one @ your local parts store.

you need to change your power window motor,it's on it's last legg.

The driver side window switch is the master switch, the power or input to either roll the window up or down goes thru that switch. Double check all the connections on the back of the driver side window switch are good. With a DVOM you can also check to see if 12v are even getting to the master switch in the first place. If you aren't even getting power to the main power window switch you could've blown the power window fuse.

the power windows of most toyotas only works if the master switch located on the drivers side is good. remove the master switch check for burned traces on the printed circuit board. solder a jumper wire across the burned part and it should work

Check the wiring between the drivers door and the A pillar(the body of the car). Sometimes the harness breaks from opening and closing the door.
