Hi,

The first thing you need to do is to take the car to the nearest autozone and get it scanned for error codes. You could print those codes as they would tell you the exact diagnosis. However, without the codes we cannot proceed. Once we have the codes, that would give us the right direction. There could be N number of reason and to discuss each and we need to have the code to have the right direction. This is the first thing that we follow when repairing any vehicle.

Let me know,once done.

Good Luck!!

Thanks!!

You can try some starting fluid sprayed inside the air cleaner box.
An engine needs 4 basic elements air, gas, spark and compression.
It is a good idea to test for all 4.

How many quarts of oil do I Put in my 1.6 L engine 1998 Suzuki Esteem?

Put in three, run the car and then check the dipstick. Three is plenty to ensure oil pressure then you can use the dipstick mark to get it just right. but it is probably four.

How to check codes on a 2001 Suzuki Esteem

No, the only way to get the engine codes out of this car is to get the codes scaned. Auto zone offers free engine code scans. Hope this helped =)

1998 suzuki esteem 1.6 will not start HELP!

Having good fuel pressure is a plus (yours seems a bit high but I don't have specs) What you need to find out is if the injectors are opening and putting the fuel into the engine so it can work. Are the plugs wet with fuel or dry? Does it fire up if you spray carb cleaner into the throttle body while cranking?

No charge to battery

the starting /charging system is interrelated ....check amp draw of starter...be sure ALL grounds on engine alternator starter battery are clean and tight...also you could have a parasitic electrical leak...disconn neg side to battery and put test light in line..should be faint light for radio and computer..nothing more..if it burns bright you have something drawing power when system is off..pull fuses one at a time to discover where ....good luck
