Question about Oldsmobile Bravada

1 Answer

I own a 2002 Olds Bravada. The headlights don't come on I see that you recommend pulling the switch and seeing if the wire were corrosive. Do I pull off the headlight switch on the instrument panel?

It isn't the switch, unless you live on the ocean. Then it might be. But I would check the fuses, then the fuse box for corrosion, then the bulbs themselves. You can check the switch on the dash, but it is rare. One thing you can do is check all the fuses, you never know. Hope this helps.

Have no low beam headlights!if i use a jumper wire they work, tried replacing switch still no lights, fuses are good, so is their a relay for low beam. i have a 2004 olds bravada

Yes you have a relay. Under the hood, in a plastic cover there is a breaker- relay center. It will be labeled either at the relay or on the inside of cover. murf427

Turn my car off and my light over head wont shut off. what could be the problem 2002 olds bravada

It could be a sensor problem in one of the doors causing the light to remain on. It could also be a broken wire, or wire that is touching metal (grounding out). Try opening and closing the doors to see if that turns the light off. Also check to see if your headlight switch has a control for the interior lights that needs to be turned off.

97 Olds Bravada My brake & hazard lights don't

There are TSB's for this issue. I chased this issue for months on mine. Go find the TSB's, there's troubleshooting pointing out the faulty part. It could be, the brake light switch, the hazzard light switch itself, the multi-function switch. I had replaced all of these and still had the problem. Wiring that goes from the brake switch to up near the fender was shorting against the fender. I replaced the pigtail, problem fixed. Best bet to help you, is find the TSB's for this problem.

94 bravada temp.gauge not working on dash could it be temp.sensor

It could be the sensor or the wire harness it self where it connect's the the sensor. There is just one lead wire and it may be damaged due to corrosion or a broken wire. Check the wire first before replacing the sensor, remember the Bravada is 15 years old. Good luck friend and keep me posted, be glad to know you got your Olds running 100% again.
