SOURCE: my back door won't open on my 2000 tahoe

you latch mechanism could be broken or came apart, common to any vehicle.. open the cover to the back and you will see the locking mechanism, once the rear cover open you can find the latch and open it form the inside. once you get the door open you can play with the door handle by pulling on it like you opening the door and you can observed what actually connect to what to operate the latch. if small rod attached from the door handle to the lock could pop off or broken. may have to replace the handle, depend if its broken or came apart. should be 30 buck for the new handle if needed..hope that help some..good luck

SOURCE: rear hatch won't open

I found this URL on internet http://www.chefseattle.com/blog/site-news/suburban-rear-liftgate-wont-unlock-how-to-fix/ It might fix your problem. Also while you have the panel off, consider doing the fix rear wiper how to tip I have posted before it fails.

SOURCE: 2006 325 i door locks not working driver door will

I had a very similar situation. Was very annoying not being able to unlock or lock doors from pannel control nor from remote.
Only driver door can be opened with manual key.

Solution: One of the 15 amp purple fuses was blown. Fuses are located inside glove compartment, the interior end has to be removed releasing the two locks.
Use a light and the red tool located on the panel to remove fuses.

Cant open door from inside,i pull the handle and wont open,,,99 chevy truck..base model work truck..

This is common in the Chevy's... The inner rods/clips etc get stretched from use and the handles even break inside the door and you can't tell until you remove the door panel. I know of people who have replaced all four as routine maintenance! good luck

2006 Tahoe Z71 Rear door will not unlock

The rear door lock/actuator assembly has failed and will need to be replaced. I had one in the shop recently and my tech had to remove the inside trim panel and manually open the rear hatch before it could be repaired.
