The car struggles to move and starts slowly but then gains momentum and it is quick. It looses power easily while driving on the highways.

I don't think that it is the "clash" what ever that is
Assuming that you are referring to the clutch
I would be looking at replacing the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder or the clutch cable as that is generally when clutch problems originate

1989 Ford F150. Truck will rev up when in park. Put it in drive and have the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and it won't have hardly any power and wants to die. Just replaced the ignition...

if it ran good before, i would go back to area and double check for any vacuum lines that knocked lose, or any wires that may had been moved to gain access to the distributor

I have the p1516 code and it will not start it is a 2002 envoy with the 4.2

OK P1516 is usually have something to do with throttle body or gas pedal, My 1st choice would be the throttle body I would start by removing the air intake hose to gain access to the throttle body once that is out of your way look at the throttle plate with the key on the plate should be partly open if it's fully close or open also try to move the throttle plate DO NOT FORCE IT it should not move when the key is on if it does then you have to replace it, the next to do is to have someone step on the gas pedal while you look at the throttle plate, with the gas pedal to the floor the plate should be wide open . Now the second choice would be the gas pedal and that calls for some electrical back ground, So start with the throttle body., Good luck

Mercedes slk 230 kompressor supercharger doesn't kick in when gas pedal depressed to gain speed.

only a turbo "kicks in".a supercharger is a compressor that uses the speed of the engine, so the faster the engine the more pressure....use the gearbox for rapid acceleration....

When i drive and step on the gas it redlines and takes awhile to gain speed if i go slow on the gas it picks up slowly but everytime i punch it it shoots up in rpms

If it is a 5 speed your clutch is slipping. If it is an automatic the clutch pack is bad or torque converter problem.
