Question about 2003 Chevrolet Suburban 1500

1 Answer

We purchased our 2003 used a few months ago. It ran smoothly for about a month and now something is draining the battery every night. We have been through the electrical system and can not find a cause. Has anyone been through this that may have a suggestion?

The alternator was the first thing we checked. It is fine. This is what has lead to looking at the electrical system.

gasoline begins to get "stale" within 6 months of purchase. if you can drain the tank, refill with 1 ounce of marvel mystery oil and 5 gallons of 93 octane gasoline. make sure battery is fully charged, replace spark plugs.

Disco II Car Alarm goes of in the middle of the night

Could be a problem with the sensor, as their is a few sensors, door(s), hood, depending on he car a few others. One of the sensors could be going bad and is super sensetive or intermitten and even if say a gust of wind hits the wire, it'll go off. Im saying it's a bad sensor.

may just be a loose terminal. I had mine replaced and it took a few hours before it ran right again. something about the electronic modules take a little time to recharge.
