You donot want to be ripping down and pulling out wiring in the starter harness to repair what is obvious, that is a beautiful car not a wrecked vehicle, why would you not have it towed to get it repaired properly? Beside if there is any warrantee on this repair you will have definately void it by attempting to jump the starter system out.

06 Ford Escape Hybrid. I didn't drive it and the battery died. Alarm settings are messed up need to reset to factory settings. Help!

I am not real familiar with Hybrids. In general, to go to a default setting you would disconnect the regular battery for at least 10 seconds and the systems should reboot. It does not cost to try this.

Car wont start

check the battery area for loose /dirty battery terminals and battery posts
push starting the car indicates battery problems so have a load test done on the battery to check for dead cell/s

I have a 2006 charger rt. We had tcm remanned and now the tcm cannot be found by computer. The bas, esp, and tps lights are all on and wont go out. Car wont shift out of first. What should we do?

You will need to reset the computer, find reset button or disconnect battery and cycle through the start and shift process, then leave disconnected, overnight if possible or at least 2 hours, before reconnecting, start and let idle for 5 minutes before shifting to drive, then drive car on open road and give a firm push to the throttle, try manual shift, if no go, inspect tcm.

Whether your key fob is damaged or just has a dying battery, there is a way for you to unlock your vehicle and start the car. Just follow the steps below:
  1. Press and hold the auxiliary key release button on the underside of the key fob.
  2. Grab the looped end at the top of your key fob.
  3. Pull out the auxiliary key.
  4. Use the auxiliary key to unlock the driver's side door.

HOW TO START THE MAZDA 3 WITH A BROKEN OR DEAD KEY

Now that you've managed to enter the vehicle with the auxiliary key, you're going to need to know how to start your Mazda 3. At this point, the auxiliary key can be put back into the key fob, as the key fob can still be used to start your vehicle. This will only take a few extra steps.
  1. Make sure the shifter is in the Park (P) or Neutral (N) position.
  2. Depress the brake pedal.
  3. The light on the engine start button should flash green.
  4. Take your key fob and touch the back of it to the push button start.
  5. When the green light on the engine start button stops flashing and remains continuously illuminated, press the push button start normally to start the engine.
  6. It is recommended you allow the vehicle to idle for about 10 seconds.
