Power loss to the master switch somewhere. I just fixed mine (97 Ford) by bypassing power source from the ignition switch and replacing it with the one running the mirrors. Works fine.
I am guessing you are talking about air conditioning ports?, if so, word of thumb, the port on the large diameter hose is low side and the smaller diameter is the high side or pressure side.
Most likely needs freon, when it has no freon, the compressor will not come on,and the fans will not come on unless the compressor has freon in it to activate the cooling fans from the high side pressure switch.
The best thing to do is make sure the freon level is good ,if that ok then ckeck the pressure with a set of a/c gages if the high side pressure are lower than 350psi and the low side is higher than 35psi and the compressor is shuting off the low pressure switch is bad.
