Question about 1990 Nissan Pulsar

1 Answer

Well it seems to be starving for fuel, I think that because it drops the revs and kangaroos like it's got no fuel on a full tank. The fuel filter was fixed by nissan about 3 months ago but the problem is back and worse. Plus looks like the fuel filter hasn't been touched. Funny that

Sometimes it seems that it dont get petrol but their are enought in tank it misses and when i rev it shes better for some distance then do it again

When you say it seems like it doesn't get petrol are you meaning that it starves under hard load / acceleration? If so, the fuel filter is the first place I'd look.

Have DR650 motorcycle, seems to be fuel starved at higher revs, cutting out, replaced filter, and drained carby no better, any suggestions?

Check the Tank vent, If it's starving or cutting out it may be creating a vacuum on the tank. Open the tank a bit and see if it still starves at higher RPM. If it runs fine, Located the vent tube and lean it out or clean the vent on the gas cap either way. If it's still starving for fuel, then look at the petcock. If it's one of the vacuum diaphragm auto types, the diaphragm is probably bad and will need to be replaced. Dump it and get a manual valve.

Nissan terrano switches off then starts

If you changed fuel filter, check pump output. Or you have dirt in the fuel tank. Drain and inspect tank.=, or line going to the filter for clear fuel flow.

1997 Cavalier 4 cylinder, Replaced Fuel Filter. Found extremely dirty. Car will run but seems to be starving for fuel. When trying to accelerate from idle will not do so.

if was that dirty and still having problems filter screen on fuel pump may be clogging as well as debris in lines have fuel pressure checked may have to change filter again as well as a possibility as to removing fuel pump and having fuel tank cleaned out --before going to drop tank try a heavy duty fuel system cleaner and a pressurized type of cleaner it injects a cleaner into the system usually used to clean injectors and carbon out of system good luck
