Overdrive light is blinking. Whats wrong? Is it

When mine did that it turned out the transmission was bad. When I tore it down, the overdrive fibres were all burned up. Needed rebuild or replacement. That light is sometimes referred to as the "SELL IT NOW LIGHT". Pretty soon you will see it slip worse and worse. Not worth a rebuild if you can't do it yourself. I rebuilt it, it lasted 10 days ...Now i put a used tranny in with 72,000 on it. Runs good now, but considering selling it while it does. The AX4S is ****.
