Question about Ford F-350

Open Question

1999 F350 Super Duty My Neutral clutch switch broke after 250,000. When it happened the clutch pedal traveled to the under dash not the normal position. I replaced the switch, and retainer for the clutch pedal rod and when I depressed the pedal a "click" was heard and the pedal returned and stay in the normal position. The problem is the pedal will not stay in that position and goes all the way out.. What is the correct procedure to instal the switch, lock the pedal in place as I can find a diagram anywhere..

Just had the same thing happen to our minivan.......went to the Nissan dealer, since the Villager and the Nissan are the same van, and they actually had the parts in stock. Tell them what is wrong and have them pull up the schematic. You need 2 plastic buttons that push in the holes by the brake pedal. It cost about $10 for the 2 of them.

Our 2002 ford f350 super duty truck will not start won't do anything

My guess is if nothing is happening, the cutoff switch that connects to the clutch (must depress the clutch when starting) doesn't function. If it is an automatic, then the neutral safety switch may also cancel the connection to be able to start it. Try depressing the brake, shifting into neutral after securing the parking brake and see if that changes anything. Else, perhaps the batteries are discharged, or even the starter does not function.

Where is the Neutral Safety switch on a 2001 F350?

hi! if you are speaking of a stick shift, there isnt one, per say. the truck
can be started in all gears, you have to depress the clutch first to engage
the starter.the neutral safety switch is around the clutch pedal attaching
point, like the brake light switch. if you mean the automatic, i have not
worked on one of them. its usually on the trans by the shift selecter!!
you could google this for alocation good luck

How to repair clutch pedal safety start switch on Ford Truck F550, 1999

Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) Switch
The clutch pedal position switch (CPP) is controlled by the clutch pedal. Depressing the clutch pedal manually closes the CPP switch and allows engine cranking. The CPP switch will also deactivate the speed control system.
