When arming the alarm and immobiliser does it not beep or make some sort of sound and when it is armed is there no indication like a flashing red light that its armed?

Make sure all the doors, Windows and trunk are closed and that no lights stay on inside. If a light does stay on inside the anti-theft may think it's an open door or someone is still inside. Also, if you have a lot of stuff on a seat, the pressure sensor in the seat may tell the anti theft there's still someone inside the car. You should usually get a confirmation of some kind that the anti-theft is active, unless the confirmation was turned off in the vehicle's settings.

How can i replace the trunk ajar switch on a 1997.5 Buick Regal LS?

The switch is located in the latch of the trunk, make sure the wire connector to the switch is not pulled loose or otherwise damaged.

The "Boot Open" message is displayed o my dash. The trunk lid is closed. The only way to open the trunk is with the key. The Key fob does not work nor do the switches inside the car or in the trunk lid...

Somethings for you to check......

If you open the boot and close the
boot latch (in the middle of the boot lid)with a screwdriver or
something does the boot light go off when you press the little
plunger for the boot light?
If it does not it may be the boot latch. It's also worth checking the
wiring loom on the right of the boot by keeping the boot plunger
pushed in with the boot latch closed as above and squeezing the
wiring loom in various places to see if the light goes off as it
should.it may be a damaged wire in the loom......

Also the plastic trim piece on the rear lower end of the
trunk (boot) is loose, the light comes on. It is held by 4 plastic
pins. When in place properly, no light, when loose, trunk open
light is on, even when trunk is secured.

Good luck

My 95 blazer has a battery drain problem over night, and is hard to jump start it has the 4.3 engine, had the charging system tested, and the parts store said it is ok.I'm not good at all with electrical...

To check for a drain on the system, go and buy a test light at the part store, than remove the pos side of the battery and place the tester in between, make sure u have a good contact. Now if u have a drain the light should be on, if not than u have a bad battery.
Now if the light is on than u should make sure every door and trunk is close, key off,no light on inside, glove box and trunk lights r off. As u open the door the light will get brighter or stay the same, if it stays the same than u have a bad switch at that location.
U just have to check all doors and trunk, glove box.
until u fine the problem.. or until light is out completly..

Dead battery, door ajar lights stay on, is seners not working?

Make sure all doors and trunk are properly closed. If light still stays on, you'll need to track down which door switch is causing the problem. Also make sure the interior light switch on the light controller is switched off.

2005 audi a8 trunk + upgrades for ipod integration

I had exact same problem, but what I found out was a three step solution to the problem.
1) The trunk lock above the trunk lid tself - sometimes looses coiling retention for the lock to work properly, which in effect does not properly lock wrap around the pull down electronic unit located in the body of the car/trunk that catches and pull the trunk lid down SOLUTION: check and make sure lock is works properly. you cab check by opening trunk and locking it with remote key, then pry the lock with a screw driver to see if it unlocks or stays locked

2) The motor catching unit in the body of the car/trunk that catches the lid and draws it down can be off balance (sitting too low to catch the lock (upper trunk lid with lock) to pull it down and stay locked. Have a mechanic - Audi preferrably, check the positon and allignment to adjust it, so it can catch trunk lid and lock to stay locked. HOPE THIS HELPS!
